Welcome to PsychLens
First post energy: Excited? Definitely! Nervous? A little. Ready? Absolutely.
Psychology has been stuck in textbooks for too long. I'm Saina, and here to change that.
Welcome to PsychLens, a space where I break down psychological concepts, theories, and anything and everything that relates to psychology, and I'll also try to answer certain questions we often find ourselves asking -
"Why do I not remember a concept that I was sure I studied the night before the exam?"
" Why do I constantly compare myself to others?"
I started PsychLens because I’ve always been fascinated by how the mind works, not just in theory, but in everyday life. From school stress to overthinking to confusing relationships, psychology is everywhere. But sometimes, it feels hidden behind jargon, heavy textbooks, or even stigma. I wanted to create a space where it feels simple, real, and fun.
Through PsychLens, I want to explore how psychology connects to our everyday lives, from the way we react to stressful situations to the tiny things that influence our mood without us even realising it. Whether through personal reflections, real-world examples, or pop culture references, my goal is to make psychology understandable, relatable, and relevant for everybody.
Sometimes, I feel like our brain has its own control panel where five tiny, colourful creatures are secretly in charge of how we handle our day.
So stay tuned to PsychLens, because in my next post, I’ll be talking about how Inside Out helps us understand and regulate our emotions.
Amazing 🫶🏼 I have always found psychology as a subject quite fascinating and I’m glad that you can help with providing more information on the same, without it being boring. Looking forward to more updates :D
